Story & Bloom was founded on a simple belief: a celebration of life should reflect the person being remembered, not follow a standard formula.

We specialize exclusively in planning celebrations of life held outside the funeral home. Whether the gathering takes place in a private home, garden, museum, restaurant, country club, historic venue, place of worship, or beneath a tent in the backyard, every celebration begins by getting to know the person at its center.

For more than 30 years, I've planned events throughout the Washington, DC region, from intimate private gatherings to large-scale galas, museum events, corporate celebrations, and special occasions in many of the area's most iconic venues.

Over the years, I've learned that the events people remember most are rarely defined by the flowers, the menu, or the venue. They're remembered for how they made people feel and the memories they created together.

That realization inspired Story & Bloom.

After helping a family create a deeply personal celebration of life, I saw an opportunity to approach these gatherings differently. Today, my focus is helping families celebrate the life that was lived by weaving together the personality, traditions, passions, and stories that made their loved one unique.
